Lift Integrated Health is a clinically-oriented massage therapy practice owned by Cathy Howell, RMT and located in the mountain town of Fernie, BC.
As an integral part of your healthcare team our focus is on treating acute conditions, post-injury care and rehabilitation. Through individual assessment, education, treatment and exercises, our rehabilitation process aims to decrease pain and discomfort, restore and maintain optimal health and function and get you back to your best self.
With over 30 years of experience, Cathy brings a deep understanding of the body and a passion for uncovering the why behind pain, tension, and injury. She takes time to understand each client’s unique needs and empowers them to take an active role in their recovery and long-term health.
Drawn to Fernie’s mountain lifestyle, Cathy moved here in the 1990s to embrace skiing, biking, and the outdoors. She raised her twin daughters in Fernie, sharing her love of sport and the active mountain lifestyle that continues to shape her approach to health and well-being.
Cathy’s dedication to sport and rehabilitation has taken her beyond the clinic — including traveling with Alpine Canada’s National Ski Cross Team as their Massage Therapist at World Cup events and the Sochi Winter Olympics.
Her goal is to help every client move with freedom, strength, and confidence.
Brittany Garnall – Graduate
Brittany has called the Elk Valley home since 2014, developing a strong connection to the community and the natural beauty of the East Kootenays. After nearly a decade working with Teck Coal, she followed her passion for healthcare by completing her Massage Therapy education and is preparing to write her provincial board exams in November.
Inspired by her own positive experiences with pain management and mental health support through massage, Brittany offers a personalized and compassionate approach to care. Her treatments are grounded in therapeutic touch and a genuine desire to help clients find relief, relaxation, and recovery.
While awaiting registration, Brittany offers discounted 60- and 90-minute massage treatments and hot stone therapy.
Outside of her practice, Brittany embraces the outdoor lifestyle that first drew her to the valley. She enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and camping with her spouse and their dogs, and looks forward to welcoming new patients and building lasting connections within the Fernie community.

Registered Massage Therapyis the manipulation of soft tissues, including muscles, nerves, connective tissues, tendons, ligaments, and joints. This clinically orientated therapy is an effective way to treat muscular tension and dysfunction, pre and post surgery, and many chronic conditions.
Lift Therapy specializes in recovery & rehabilitation for conditions such as rotator cuff injuries, post knee surgery, herniated disc & back injuries, muscle strains & sprains, tendonitis, whiplash and post surgery recovery. We are trained in many modalities and techniques to provide personalized one to one care to help improve and restore optimal function.

Registered Massage Therapy Treatment (50 min session) – $110

Massage from graduates of an accredited massage program with comprehensive training in anatomy, physiology, pathology, and hands-on therapeutic techniques.
Hot Stone Massage – (60min session) – $100 (90min session) – $120
Hot Stone Massage uses heated basalt stones to deliver therapeutic warmth and gentle pressure to targeted muscle groups. It is an effective modality for relieving stress, muscle stiffness and overall discomfort.
*Relaxation and Hot Stone Massage Treatments are offered at a discounted rate from graduates of an accredited massage program, while preparing to write the board certification exams in October 2025.*

Brittany brings a deep commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and is currently offering discounted massage sessions while she awaits her registration exams this fall.
Brittany, a long-time Elk Valley resident, draws on her own healing journey to offer thoughtful, personalized treatments. Inspired by her own positive experiences with pain management and mental health support through therapeutic touch, Brittany is dedicated to providing personalized, attentive care, and result based outcomes. Outside of her practice, Brittany enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle, including hiking, mountain biking, and camping with her spouse and their dogs. She look forward to welcoming new clients and building meaningful connections within the community
